Garngoch isn’t for traders
Garngoch Recycling Centre is just outside Gorseinon, but it’s for residents taking their own household waste. Swansea Council says anyone who’s been paid to carry waste can’t use its recycling centres, and leaving commercial waste there is a criminal offence. If someone offers to “run it to the tip” for cash, that’s your warning sign.
Old streets and new estates
Newer estates around Penllergaer and Gorseinon tend to have garages and small gardens; older streets in Loughor and Gowerton have longer gardens and sheds. The tipper is fine with both.

If it’s your own household rubbish, yes. Swansea’s recycling centres are for residents only, and vans and trailers need a free council permit.
